Lorne Pike is a marketing and sales consultant with two decades of experience. He has built an enviable network of business contacts in cities across North America and in Europe, and can handpick from those contacts to create a team to meet the specific needs of each client and project.
Lorne has written strategies that allowed companies to access new markets in North America, Europe and the Middle East, and has taken those strategies “into the trenches,” often traveling to represent clients in all corners of North America, to entities like NASA, Seimens, HP, Pfizer, CNN, NBC, and to major print, radio and television entitites. He has also been project leader and facilitator for public consultations, focus groups,telephone and intercept surveys, and document reviews.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, Lorne is a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Technology Industries (NATI) and Oceans Advance. In export markets, he is either currently or recently a member of the New Jersey Technology Council, the Technology Association of Georgia, the Silicon Valley chapter of the American Marketing Association, theDallasBlue Business Network, the National Defense Industry Association, the National Center for Simulation, the United Professional Sales Association, and SalesLab.
Lorne has guest lectured for several college and university business programs, and is a member of the Advisory Panel of Executives at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He regularly supports the not-for-profit sector, is active on the executive of the Rotary Club of St. John’s Northwest, and created both the very successful Big Brothers/Big Sisters Celebrity Secrets Variety Show, and the St. John’s School Lunch Association’s Skip-a-Lunch promotion, where he has also served as Chair. He has also held memberships in Mensa, Gideons, and the Atlanta History Center. In recognition of his volunteer and community work, in February 2000 Lorne was nominated for the City of Mount Pearl Citizen of the Year.
